The Difference Between Academies & Clubs
An academy is when a club/association keeps accepted kids as players of the academy as opposed to placing them on individual teams. The academy is a concept that is based on professional soccer club systems from around the world. Here at Villarreal Las Vegas Academy, we embrace this system. This system allows our players to thrive at their own pace. After tryouts, players are placed on teams within their age groups. However, this does not mean they are stuck with that individual team. Players that exceed expectations will be encouraged to move up either in age or in competitiveness. Players that need more work and game time will be encouraged to drop down in age groups to learn and thrive.
Following state rules, players can play with teams at most 2 years and above their age. Our boys and girls need to fight not only for their teams, but for our entire academy as a whole.
Academy Program
In 2020, Villarreal Las Vegas Academy (VLVA) became the only official La Liga Academy in the state of Nevada. VLVA offers a 10 Month (August-May) and 5 Month (January-May) Academy Program available for ages 5 to 18. After tryouts, selected players are placed into teams based on their age and skill set. These academy teams compete locally, statewide, nationally, and internationally.
VLVA is one of Nevada’s premier soccer academies. Our academy teams train 2-4 times each week with their specific VLVA teams. Our players and coaches at Villarreal Las Vegas train under the innovative Villarreal CF methodology to help them develop to their full potential. Villarreal CF works with Villarreal Las Vegas staff members to help players grow through an individual player development approach. What’s more, this academy provides a pathway to real professional experiences in Spain.
Players who, throughout the season, consistently demonstrate top-level training, skills, and behavior will have opportunities to be invited to Villarreal’s state-of-the-art training facilities in Spain, one of the best youth developmental academies in the world. Participants will observe training sessions, meet professional players, practice with the club’s elite academy players, be trained by Villarreal coaches, and experience what it takes to become a professional soccer player first-hand.
Recreational Program
For those that are just beginning their soccer careers and are ready to learn the basics of soccer, our Villarreal Recreational Program (VRP) is the best place to start! Our Rec-Program is a 10-month soccer program starting in August and finishing in May. During these 10 months, players will be assigned to a team at their age group and their skill level. Teams will train twice a week with their assigned coaches. Unlike being a part of our Academy Program, Recreational players will only compete within local Las Vegas Rea-Leagues like the Nevada Alliance Soccer League. Although our Reg-Program is for beginner soccer players, all of our kids will learn our Villarreal Spanish Methodology no matter what level they are in. Our VRP boast some of the lowest prices for club soccer around the city starting at just $55 a month. With such low prices, there is no better place to start your club soccer career
Developmental Program
Our Development Program revolves around the idea of teaching players using the most qualified instructors who are experts in the field of Futbol. No other academy in the state mandates all of their Coaches to be trained by a Professional club like us with Villarreal CF. Our coaching staff has created a formula this is designed to maximize each players understanding of the game through a progressive approach. Our program will include specialized trainings for Forwards, Midfielders, Defenders and even goalkeepers. By the end of each month, you will feel closer to becoming a La Liga player.
